Hot Jobs Career Assessment

What is a career assessment?
A career assessment helps you figure out what kind of jobs suit your needs, interests, skills, values, and personality! While such a tool may not tell you exactly what kind of jobs you should go into or whether you will be successful in these jobs, it will give you a pretty good sense of what you may like or be good at.
Career Key will determine, based on your answers to their questions, your Holland Codes. Holland Codes are six categories that will highlight your interests, skills, values, and personality. The categories are:
- Realistic: people who are realistic are "doers" who like to work with things, machines and tools. They typically enjoy fixing things around the house, building things, and working with plants and animals.
- Artistic: people who are artistic are considered "creators." They enjoy work in unstructured situations and they use imagination and creativity. They often enjoy singing, dancing, performing, and drawing.
- Investigative: investigative people are "thinkers." They like to observe, learn, analyze, and solve problems. They like to find creative solutions and work on their own. They may enjoy solving crossword puzzles, reading, and learning new things.
- Social: people who are social are considered "helpers." They like to work with people by helping, informing, caring, and training. They may enjoy volunteering, helping the elderly, and teaching children.
- Enterprising: enterprising people are "persuaders." They like to work with people by influencing and persuading, leading and managing. They may enjoy running their own business or giving speeches in public.
- Conventional: conventional people are "organizers." They usually prefer to work indoors in structured situations and like to keep things neat and organized. They often like to work with forms, charts, graphs, and reports.

* Holland Codes do not necessarily have to be in the particular order shown above. For example, based on your score from the assessment, you could be Conventional-Social-Investigative (with Conventional score being the highest, Social the second highest, and Investigative the third highest) and your match would still be (SIC), which is diagnostic medical sonographers.
* Can't find your match? Look at your fourth highest score on the assessment result and see if it matches with anything. Or you can look at the two codes that you feel strongly about and see if they match with any of our Hot Jobs.
