Community Housing
Crittenton Women's Union offers 35 transitional housing apartments for homeless families scattered throughout Boston, supporting the rents, utilities and furnishings in these units. The families, all of whom are eligible for emergency assistance, are responsible for basic upkeep of their unit, and for meals purchased with monthly food stamps.Transitional living arrangements allow families greater independence as they work closely with a case manager to become self-sufficient and move into permanent housing. These apartments offer the flexibility to shelter two-parent families, larger families and those with special needs.
