Every day, women like Lechille, pictured here, come to us for help, and like her, many are homeless with children to care for.
Lechille and her infant daughter, Lanae, suddenly became homeless last year. Thankfully, they found food and temporary housing at our emergency shelter in Brighton. But Lechille was surprised to find she could receive so much more at CWU.
Today a better future is one step closer for this young mother and child.
Lechille will begin to study medical information management at Bunker Hill Community College in January! What’s more, she now has a full-time job and pays part of the rent on her Abbot House apartment.
